Our Response to Roe v. Wade

At AdaRose our mission is to make self care easy for women, supporting their health and wellness and helping them to thrive in their personal and professional lives. The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade undermines both women’s health and their personal autonomy.

Abortion is among the most polarizing topics in a highly-charged political environment. Yet in good conscience, we cannot promote “self care” for women while not addressing the fact that women’s reproductive health care rights are now being severely restricted. While we respect a diversity of belief systems, we don’t support a government restriction on any individual’s choices when it comes to her or his own body.

Particularly given this change in policy, we at AdaRose commit to work extra hard to empower women and their allies and to support holistic health and wellness. We are more determined than ever to channel our work as a force for positive change.

In the services AdaRose offers, we will:

  • Continue to give women easy and enjoyable ways to learn and practice self care skills that support both mind and body through immersive experiences.

  • Help people adopt new habits and reframe their thinking related to self care, and, by extension, greater care for others in their communities.

In building the company AdaRose, we will:

  • Develop internal policies that support women and men in holistic wellness, including those related to healthcare, family caregiving including parental leave, flexibility about when and where we work, and an emphasis on integrating healthy behaviors and balance into daily life.

  • Cultivate a culture of authenticity that encourages people to bring their “whole selves” to work. Employees and contractors are welcomed and encouraged to share their beliefs and what is going on in their personal lives without fear of negative repercussions.

  • Commit to supporting diversity and inclusion in hiring employees and contractors, and in our marketing imagery and messaging.

In our families and community, we will:

  • Champion girls and women and help them to achieve success through mentoring and supporting other organizations with this shared mission.

  • Celebrate and amplify the advancement of girls, women, and members of other underrepresented groups.

  • Vote.

  • Financially contribute to causes that support women’s rights and equality, in addition to other types of human rights.
